At the World Audio Visual & Entertainment Summit (WAVES) in Mumbai, Richard Kerris, Vice President at NVIDIA, highlighted how artificial intelligence is reshaping the media and entertainment landscape by driving hyper-personalised viewer experiences and revolutionising content delivery.
Kerris underscored AI’s transformative potential, from real-time language translation to intelligent video reformatting tailored for mobile screens. “AI enables a feature film shot in 16:9 to adapt seamlessly to different formats without losing narrative continuity, which is essential for modern mobile-first audiences,” he noted.
He introduced HoloScan for Media, NVIDIA’s latest platform tailored for broadcast and live entertainment. The platform transforms traditional hardware-dependent workflows into flexible, software-defined systems that can be reconfigured on the fly, unlocking real-time production possibilities and cost efficiencies for live events.
Kerris also showcased NVIDIA Inference Microservices (NIMS), a modular system of AI-powered tools for developers. These microservices can be assembled into blueprints, enabling creators to rapidly build custom AI solutions for media production, content personalisation, and targeted advertising.
With platforms like HoloScan and NIMS, NVIDIA is leading the charge in redefining how content is created, delivered, and experienced in the digital era.
